OOC> sorry it took me so long to join, stuff came up
Name Peyton Anita Marie Firmin
Age 19
Occupation
Staff-Manager/Composer
Plot Importance- Peyton is daughter of Mr. Firmin one of the owners; she helps her father with is duties but also has another calling. Peyton has been lucky enough to be given lessons by the phantom. Though these lessons are different from any other lessons he has given before. The phantom is teaching her to compose a final score as Peyton dreams of being a composer once she has the skill.
Physical
Peyton is slim and tall; she stands about 5’9. She has fairly long legs and arms that are fairly tanned. Her fingers are long and slender which is appropriate since she plays the piano. Peyton has a simple face that is pretty but not as glamorous as the stars of the opera. Before she moved to Paris Peyton had been made into the image of perfection. Her mother who had been a diva and obsessive about beauty forced her into corsets and made her pound on make-up until she seemed perfect. The corsets had been pulled so tight for so long that Peyton’s bone structure started to bend, so now she has the hour glass figure permanently much to her dismay for it causes her much pain. Peyton has mysterious brown eyes, and thin brown eyebrows. Her hair reaches down to her breast line and has a natural wave to it. Her bangs rest just below her eyebrows and her hair is a light brown color.
Personality
Peyton is generally shy, she doesn’t really socialize much. She spends a lot of time all alone composing. She is very conscious about her looks from years of her mother telling her she wasn’t good enough. She never lets her midriff show because she s ashamed of the bruises that are there from the corsets she had to wear. She does not think of herself as beautiful because the truth is she’s never been told she is beautiful. She is a sweet girl but she does know how to take command. Her father has taught her to be open with her opinions. Peyton is very modest; she will never admit she’s done something great. She is also a bit of a romantic but has never been in a real relationship.
History
Peyton grew up in mainstream London with her ex-diva mother Melody-Rose Van Trapet. Peyton had never met her birth father; she only knew of her mother’s new husband Armand Delecoste. Armand was a fairly rich Italian man, who treated Peyton almost as poorly as her mother did.
Melody-Rose could no longer perfect her own looks so she moved on to her only daughter. Melody’s obsession with perfection and beauty tortured Peyton. Over the years the woman tried ever procedure imaginable to perfect the look of her daughter but in her eyes Peyton was never good enough.
As soon as Peyton turned thirteen her mother brought her out into society; meaning Peyton was to find an appropriate suitor for herself with her mother’s guidance of course. Grande ball after ball Peyton was forced to dance with every man in the room, and how she hated it. Peyton believed in finding true love but this didn’t seem like the right way.
At fourteen Peyton was rushed to the hospital for in the middle of the night she woke up barely able to breath. The doctors told them that the corsets had pressed her rib cage too close to her lungs and that she should not wear any more corsets ever. But Melody-Rose persisted, she only lessened the punishment.
When Peyton was 15 the truth about her father came out but Peyton was legally bound to stay with her mother until he was eighteen, and Peyton wasn’t brave enough to run away for she feared Armand’s harsh punishments. For two more years Peyton stayed in misery with her mother.
Some luck finally came to the girl when she was seventeen, though it was not exactly the best luck. After Armand found out about Melody-Rose’s infidelities he murdered her. For about a month after the murder Peyton had to stay with Armand but eventually the news leaked out and he was arrested. Peyton was then sent to France to meet her father who surprisingly was happy to see her though he had no idea he had a daughter.
Peyton started helping out around the opera and one night when she was alone; composing in her office a mysterious voice called out to her; The Phantom. Peyton had heard many stories about the man, and gladly accepted when he offered to give her some tips on composing.

RP sample
Peyton sat in her small office, at the small scale piano. She could often be found like this; scribbling notes and words onto a faded piece of parchment with a quill and a dark grey ink; the only type of ink that wouldn’t fade under the piano lamps. Peyton set the quill down and propped up the new sheet of music onto the stand. She has written a duet to be sung by a female and a male. The female would be preferably an alto which was unusual for such a big piece but Peyton liked it better this way for she could reach the notes herself.
She played the intro and sang the lyrics herself; both parts of course since no one else was around. Her voice was nothing compared to Cristine Daae’s or the Phantom’s but she did have a nice sounding voice. She had been offered parts in the chorus before but Peyton felt she was destined to play beneath the stage and not on it. As she reached the end of the intro she began to sing.
Dancing where the stars go blue
Dancing where the evening fell
Dancing in my wooden shoes
in a wedding gown
She stopped, before she even got to the male’s part. Something in the song stuck a cord in her. It reminded a song that she had long ago written; something that was about the way her mother saw her. She didn’t even need to find the sheet music for the song; it was so familiar that she could play it without assistance.
I never promised you a ray of light
I never promised there’d be sunshine everyday
I gave you everything I have
The good the bad
Why do you put me on a pedestal?
I’m so up high that I can’t see the ground below
So help me down you’ve got it wrong
I don’t belong there
She stopped before going into the chorus; the most emotional part that had been a cry out to her vain mother. Though she had never had the chance to play this song for her mother... Maybe she can hear me after death Peyton though before carrying on.
One thing is clear
I wear a halo
I wear a halo when you look at me
But standing from here
You wouldn’t say so
You wouldn’t say so if you were me
And I
I just want to love you
Oh Oh I
I just want to love you
